I'm pretty sure Mirabelli is the biggest douche to ever wear a Padres uniform.

Thought it was hilarious when I read that the lone complainer was Mirabelli
I second “the biggest douche to ever wear a Padres uniform” claim.
"Shut the fuck up Donnie, you're out of your element!" ~Walter Sobchak from The Big Lebowski
Didn't Matt Bush wear a Padres uniform at least once?
Of course, if you qualify that honor with “In the regular season” I think you’re right, with the possible exception of Jim Leyritz.

So did Mirabelli
We ended up with Cla Meredith and Josh Bard after Boston begged KT for him.
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
Sometimes you have to take what you can get
But, yeah, he was a useless whiner.

Sounds like Mirabelli is a perennial passenger on the "Waaahmbulance"

Looks like Garland has an extreme case...
of Pitcher Face.
Pitcher Face, noun
Definition: A malady that affects cute pitchers. When they pitch their little faces contort to odd shapes of epic proportions.
Usage: “When Jon Garland pitches, he has a Pitcher Face attack.”

Does anyone else get a chuckle from the term "two game slide"?
Two games is really more of a dip than a slide.

Very excited about Keyvius Sampson.
I liked him the moment the drafted him. Glad they’re being careful with him, and hope he comes on strong next year.

There was a Brazelton start at Petco where he got blown off the mound.
After the game Scan went off on Mirabelli, because of the way he conducted himself during the meltdown. That may be the incident Scan was refering to.
I might have been at this game
all I remember is that I once saw Dewon Brazelton start a game for the Padres and get shelled for like 7 runs in the first inning, the rest was a blur
I'm watching the archived game on MLB.tv now
Two things I’ve noticed
Brazelton was unlucky, with some dinky flyballs landing for singles and Dave Roberts unable to make a couple catches, but was also throwing grapefruits, especially on the homer to Ojeda.
Mirabelli absolutely deserves the criticism. He was catching a young pitcher with a history of wildness and psychological issues. He didn’t call time and make a visit until the bases were loaded with nobody out. The very next pitch after the visit resulted in a 2-run double by Garret Atkins.

Jeez, Donovan
Did you catch a bad case of the stomach flu, or a bad case of whiny b*tch?
I don’t really mean that. I’m just frustrated.
And I’m sad Sampson’s been shut down. But it is a good thing if he’s hurt. It’s just a bummer.
"You're like the nicest internet person I know." - theodore donald kerabatsos
Hopefully Sampson is not on the Carillo plan,
where they postpone surgery for a year, while hoping for help from the elbow fairies.
Thinking about the Carrillo saga makes me sad
It looked like he would be fighting for the 5th starter role in 2006 with how he tore through the minors. I hope he makes it to the big leagues one day (beyond the occasional cup of coffee), but his numbers make it look like he’s not the pitcher he once was.
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
Okay, so Jaff just broke a finger
I hate to see him shut down, but I’m glad it’s not more serious.
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
Of our remaining 39 games
23 are at Petco, 13 on the road.
"I'll tell you about it because I am here and you are distant."
if we go 22-17
we finish 30 games over 500. 96-66, bichez.
"I'll tell you about it because I am here and you are distant."
But the Giants will sweep us
and they will never look back. Don’t get ahead of yourself.

here's your periodical Sean Gallagher news break:
Ross Ohlendorf got hurt only 8 pitches into his start against the Cardinals. Sean came in and the first pitch he threw was a 3-run bomb by Albert. Good luck Sean!
