Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Just ran into Jake Peavy at Ralphs

Quick blurb: I just ran into Jake Peavy at the Ralphs in 4S Ranch. He was there with his family. His son was in his little league uniform. Jake was wearing a big sling on his right arm. I was wearing my Padres shirt. I'm hoping he makes a full recovery. I was surprised to see him back in SD. Either that, or I saw his doppelganger and I need to schedule an eye exam.

his doppelganger?

you met Oscar-nominee JEREMY RENNER???

I was dating this girl from Canada... after about a month I found out she didn't know what sport the Padres played, she thought "padre" was spelled p-o-d-r-a-y and she thought it was some kind of a fish. Dealbreaker.

He lives here. And he's not playing baseball.

Ask any baseball player, any real baseball player. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning.

I hope his recovery is going well.

I’ve torn my latti-d and I wouldn’t wish that pain on the biggest d-bag ever.

Am I crazy for still liking Peavy?

The first game I ever saw at Petco was a game where Peavy pitched.

Nah I like Peavy

The 04-05-06-07 years were the “Peavy Prime” years… and while the product on the field was no where near as entertaining as it is now. It was still winning Padres baseball.

I miss the Jake Peavy who called his complete game against the D-Bags to give the 'pen a rest

And the Jake who won the pitching triple crown and the Cy Young in 2007.

There’s nothing wrong in liking one of the best home-grown Padre players. I do wish he would shut the hell up sometimes, though…

Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...

God D*mnit!

I go to that store almost daily and just happen to already have enough beer at home today after work so I skipped. That area is an athlete haven. “Friendly” LT has even become pissy with me asking for a quick photo at the Jimbo’s in that same shopping center however Igor Olshansky seemed very cool multiple times over there.

Sure...

but 4S Ranch is a massive pain to get to. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that property value is actually inversely proportional to how much freeway access it has.

Lets trade back for him

Give the White Sox two shitty prospects, and make them eat all but $4 million of his contract. Jake Peavy as a #4 starter next year for your San Diego Padres.

That's the exact reaction

I wanted to see.

Carrot Top is probably the unfunniest comedian working, next to Dane Cook.
