PrintHere we are in the middle of August. First place still. Blah blah blah. I'm not sure what it's going to take to get you up into the 9s and 10s at this point. I should have gotten this poll up yesterday so if the College Boy Karsten incident shook your faith, then pretend that it hasn't happened yet and see how confident you are.
JBox was so confident that he flew out to Chicago. I wonder if he's wearing Padres gear. If there's one person who would rather avoid confrontation it's JBox, but I'm guessing he's feeling so confident these days that he's just itching for a fight.
Also, I totes just got an iPhone 4. It's so amaze. It makes me realize how bad the mobile version of our site is though. That's gotta be fixed some how.
As an exercise, see if you can predict how you're going to vote before you actually vote it. If you can actually come through with your prediction then the power of positive thinking is stronger with you than it is with Jonathan Sanchez.
The rules are simple. On a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being no confidence at all, 10 being absolute confidence, How confident are you in the San Diego Padres organization?
"Confidence" is just about anything you want to interpret it as. The front office, the future prospects, the play on the field, the park, etc etc etc

after that ugly string against the Marlins/Dodgers/Dbacks, it’s nice to go 6-1 in a week and push the Giants down a bit more. Very encouraging sign.

I understand sign-fail disappointment
But why worry about a high school kid several years away from majors when the big boys are playing like grown men should? If we had 50 wins right now, I would probably be super pissed, but this season is just too fun to get spoiled by an 18 year old kid. I trust Jed, especially after reading some of his quotes about it.

Because last time I voted above 8 they went on a ZOMG 2 game losing streak. I’m voting 8 purely for superstitious reasons.

I said if we went 5-1 last week, I’d go up to a 9, and despite the bummer of going 2 for 18 with RISP Saturday and losing in extras, Sunday’s big bounce-back win gets me where I said I would be….
Now it’s Tuesday night, and it doesn’t hurt that we’ve won another 2 games since the weekend, including another 1-0 decision. 24 games over .500. YES!

I have been voting 8’s for the past two months, but yesterday’s clutch killer instinct this is how we do it Padres Win pushed me to 10 where I am completely confident I will remain for the balance of the season.

Let me start off I’m a Giant fan born and raised in the City. Went to my first giant game @7 years old..been a fan for over 40yrs. For you guys to vote all 8,9 and 10 is crazy. Your team is good but not much of a track record. realistically they should be 5,6 or,7
