A big game for both teams will take place tonight: The Dodgers, acquiring pitcher Ted Lilly and second baseman Ryan Theriot yesterday from the Chicago Cubs hours before the deadline ended, have lost the first two games of the important three game series by the Bay, and with the Padres win today over the Marlins and staff Ace Josh Johnson, L.A. finds themselves 7 1/2 games out of the West. Should San Francisco complete the sweep tonight, it's a 1 1/2 game lead behind the divsion-leading Friars, and 8 games back for L.A. For the Padres, all it would take is for us is to split the series tomorrow or win 3 of 4 to all but eliminate the Dodgers from the playoff race.
Go Giants!!!! Sweep L.A.!
