Padres Shifting Gears?

The San Diego Padres' search for an outfielder hasn't gone the way they would have liked, with Corey Hart's injury and the Brewers' asking price for him, the DL stint for David DeJesus and the latest situation surrounding Jayson Werth, which is centered around a steep asking price of an impact major-league player. ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports Tuesday that the Padres may be turning their sights to adding some depth, perhaps around the infield. Stark names Jeff Keppinger and Ryan Theriot as two players linked to San Diego. Houston's Lance Berkman, free agent Jermaine Dye and Washington's Josh Willingham could also be among those considered by the Padres, and if the Athletics are open to moving Rajai Davis or Coco Crisp, both could be a fit for GM Jed Hoyer's club.
