Padres Trail: Padres Acquire Nick Green

Unfinished Business: Sweep, then Dodgers!!

Padres’ pitch translator spells it out at Petco Park - SignOnSanDiego.com
"I know some guys who look at it. I’m not one of them," he said. "I prefer to get a feel for the pitcher. There are some guys who throw 98 but it feels like 92. Others throw 92 and it feels like 98. If you start looking at that stuff, it’s going to get in your head."

Okay, I'll bite; you're crazy.
Bart: But, dad, you're giving in to mob mentality.
Homer: No, I'm not! I'm hopping on the bandwagon. Now, come on, son. Get with the winning team.
No Trevor.
It would hurt to see him not close games out.

Trevor,
I say we get him like 15 September or so maybe later. After we are 10 games up on second place, have him as the “closer” for the last home series. Once he gets a save, we have him tip his hat and wave to the fans.
But we keep him off the playoff roster.

I was at a game last year
in Boston, and he actually pitched the last two innings of the game as the Sox were getting completely blown out and their bullpen was depleted. So, yeah, weak bat, decent glove and he can pitch. Perfect fit.

Hey, better him than trading away a bunch of prospects
and being on the hook for a big salary. It is one of those years.
