PCL All-Star closer Frieri set to join Padres bullpen
The Padres will be adding Pacific Coast League All-Star Ernesto Frieri to their bullpen for Friday night’s start of the second half of the season.
Frieri, who turns 25 Monday, will replace either right-handed starter Mat Latos or right-handed reliever Mike Adams as one or both go on the disabled list. If both go on the disabled list, the Padres are likely to add a second relief pitcher.

If I recall, he's got a wicked curveball.
Should fit right in.

Dude has been lights out this year in Portland
Second time around Portland – 34 Gs, 37.2 IP, 1.43 ERA, 3-1, 17 SV, 14 H, 6 ER, 2 HR, 18 BB, 49 SO, .114 BAA
I think he is ready to move on.
Few too many walks
but a very nice K rate.

His WHIP is still less than 1.
I would worry a bit more if he was giving up some more hits as well.
I still feel more confident in Burroughs pitching than Mujica

My bad
He started and threw 6 innings in Portland in 2008. That doesn’t really count, does it?
