Pretty sure the All Star game coverage starts at 5pm. The actual game will start some time in the far distant future. Annoying announcers, sucky bands, D list celebrity interviews, sitcom promotions and non-stop commercials are what we have to look forward to.
I'm going to tune in sometime around 7pm and see if I can catch a glimpse of Adrian or Heath in the background of a Jeter close up.

That said, I’m rooting for the NL because I think there’s a legit chance the Padres could go the distance. (I just don’t want a Dodger to be the NL “hero” of the game.)

I'll probably hate myself for saying this...
But A-Rod has become almost likable this year. He joined the ESPN guys yesterday during the HR Derby and he was easily the most likable guy on the panel (granted, he was sitting with Bobby Valentine, Boomer, and Joe Morgan). You can see that he’s just so much more relaxed and happy than he used to be and doesn’t seem to take himself as seriously as he used to.

Seriously, the ONLY thing he has going for him is a good voice.
He doesn’t really add anything to the game, he comes across as being arrogant, and he makes exciting plays sound less exciting.
Check out the Endy Chavez catch in game 7 of the NLCS between the Mets and Cards a few years back. Chavez makes one of the most ridiculous catches you’ll ever see… and Buck barely speaks in a louder tone than his normal voice.
