HOME RUN DERBY!!!

I find Home Run Derby's extra more exciting than regular home runs or regular derbies. I think it's all the extra counting and the grunting that goes on. It's like... magical.

In other news, what the All-Star game REALLY needs is a pitching derby, AKA knock down the f_ckin' bottles like at the carnival. I would even set up a dirty looking carney in a striped vest and give away a giant Pink Panther stuffed animal, except mounted on a wooden base like it's a trophy.

YEAR OF THE PITCH, BITCH!!! PITCHERS RULE!!! HITTERS DROOL!!!

I don't know what I'm talking about. Here, vote in the poll and discuss who you think is going to hit more BP home runs.

Here be the contestants (formatting stolen from Purple Row):

American League

National League

These are the lamest contestants ever in a HRD.

All of the good hitters don’t actually want to compete. I’ll bet Chris Young strikes out.

That a couple years ago that had a pretty lame lineup. But, my memories of silly exhibitions are fuzzier than others.

Chris Young? Seriously?

Gonzalez or Votto should be in the Derby.
Who’s the schmuck who assembled this group together?

Gonzalez was asked and declined

Most of the good hitters decline to do it more than once, that’s why they have crappy lineups.

Is Berman doing the “play-by-play”?

I know.

I’m sorry. I was busy all weekend. Golfing, visiting friends, etc… It actually felt weird being away from GLB for like 3 days. I feel very out of touch.

Quick question

If you get Mlb Extra Innings and your out of area (in LA) will you get the Padre games? Or does Cox ruin it for all of America?

The half season special is starting to I want to pick it up, I’m tired of following via gamecast.

Cox can't ruin it for all America

Because you can still get the opposing team’s broadcasts. Cox used to not have an agreement with MLB for those things so all you could watch were the opposing broadcasts, but now they are sprinkled in with all the rest. But, nevertheless, every game that is at least televised by one of the teams will be available via Extra Innings and MLB.tv as long as you are out of market and the game is not during the blackout times for Saturday Fox games (usually afternoon) and ESPN Sunday Night games.

No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

You can't always watch opposing teams feeds.

When we play Seattle, I can’t watch either feed. Same with San Fransisco. And I would assume we’re out of market for san fran, so I have no idea why it’s blacked out.

ASG Fan Fest was fun!

So was watching the home run derby in the Morton’s.
We saw more celebrities in there than at the Fan Fest.
