The Foulweather Fans were right! Padres pick on old man, get collective asses kicked.
There was a brief moment or three during the first inning when the Padres were hitting a ton and scoring runs, but not quite enough runs and then after that, they took a nap like a bunch of old men, thinking that the old man they were picking on would not fight back.
And then there was blood everywhere and the old man was screaming at them and the video turned up on YouTube and now the Padres are broken and humiliated and after the Dodgers beat the Braves tonight, Adrian Gonzalez and Heath Bell will be traded by Monday.
Oh, but these games don't count. It's OK. These games don't count.

In response to Ketchup
from the open thread:
No, I am not. I felt if I left, it might turn things around. It worked for my Duckies, who scored 3 in the 8th and are now only down by 2. Too bad it didn’t work for the Pads.

Did that game even last two hours?

The good news is that the Rox and Giants lost.
Bad news is the Dodgers are up 2-0 over Atlanta.

I just have a bad feeling that if LA gets back in first,
it’s the last we’ll see of it this year. The next three weeks or so is a tough tough schedule.
I don't like them either!
but it’s a tough division, one of the tougher ones in baseball. if you’re not winning, you’re falling behind
5-2 ATL
It’s been a 5-run 7th so far for the Braves and they have a man on third with one out. Brooks Conrad got a pinch hit RBI single and scored a run.
I need new pants.
Go Braves!!!! <33

As long as the Braves win tonight
will still be tied with the Doyers for 1st.
Good news about tomorrow: Joe Blanton sucks (1-4, 5.68), which should give Padre hitting a chance to do some damage early…if they learn to take some damn pitches (Chase, Chris and Jerry, i’m talking to you!)
Bad news: Kevin Correia breaks down during the 6th inning, so Buddy should just work on getting min through five, then turn it over to the bullpen.

If the Braves win
Padres will regain 1st place by half a game

Craig Kimbrel on the mound for the Braves in the 9th.
Dodgers score one and now have runners at first and second with no outs. 9-3 Braves

watching these clips of the Braves teeing off on the Dodgers bullpen,
it sounds like the Braves fans are taking over Chavez Latrine. I don’t remember that many when they visited Petco…?
What a poopy loss
Bad pitching.
Untimely hitting.
Lazy defense.
At least my boy Joe did good. That was about it.
Better game tomorrow, lads.

Quick update from the farm for those interested
Dan Robertson hit a grand slam today, and is .404 with runners in coring position, and .441 with runner in scoring position and two outs. I’m thinking he’s in San Antonio within the next month or two
Possible
Although it’s been pointed out to me in the past that this GM has expressed a preference towards not promoting players mid-season.

I quit watching yesterday's Bravos game
when they went down 0-2.
Don’t make that face at me! I don’t have faith for the Braves!
