The Marlins have horrible attendance every year, but I’d always thought that their crappy stadium had a lot to do with that, and that a lot of people still watched at home, but you wouldn’t know that from the traffic their site gets.
Plus there are some weird imbalances between certain teams. It seems like the Mariners, Giants, Mets, Cardinals and others get insane traffic, while some bigtime teams—Phillies, Red Sox stick out to me—have suspiciously low post counts on SB Nation. Then again, I think the Red Sox already have an established activity hub at SoSH so maybe that answers that question.
