Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Is Kyle Blanks getting Headley'd?

Being young and in the Bigs is hard enough and Blanks transitioning to a new position thats almost completely opposite from his natural position could be wearing on him.  Headley mentioned this while he played LF and I think Blanks is being hurt by this also.  Its an extremely small sample of games so far but I am getting worried that he could make a run at Brian Giles and his below .200 avg when June comes around. Is it better to get your growing pains w/ the parent club or at AAA?

Kind of rambling and incoherent.

But good point nonetheless.

I agree

I just want to get paid to draw naked girls, is that so much to ask?

Perhaps its time to send him down.

when a guy is swinging through fastballs, and shows no signs of catching on, I’d say its about time to give the guy a shot in the arm.

now, why would you go and assume that?

allow me to clarify.

By the phrase ‘shot in the arm’ I was eluding to the possibility that by sending Blanks down to Portland, it might help “stimulate” his offensive performance; for the better. Of course, you already knew this;)

just to clarify.

I was actually going to say that,

but decided against it.

Could be the arm....

I think it was Canseco’s gay tendencies with McGwire that changed it to the bum.

BUT

he has a bobblehead. they can’t send him down

He's clearly struggling

And I’d be willing to give him maybe til the end of the month and if he’s not showing any improvement, send him down. Bring up Cunningham or something like that.

It’s not the end of the world if he’s sent down, lots of players have before and come back to make it work.

Maybe we should start comparing him to Paul McAnulty

hopefully he’ll take that as a massive insult and start swinging the bat better.
