Padres rally to beat the Rockies in the bottom of the 9th, 3-2
Well that was a good game. Take the lead, fall behind, rally, win. That's how they plot Hollywood movies right there.
Some notes:
- Chase Headley is more clutch than Kevin Kouzmanoff.
- From the looks of the postgame interview, Chase is working on his May beard same as us.
- Kyle Blanks had an opportunity to score on a wild pitch with the pitcher covering home plate. I know that baseball is played nicer and friendlier these days, but it shouldn't have taken much to knock the ball out of the pitcher's hands. One well placed shoulder.
- Will Venable hit a triple. I will tell you right now, if he gets regular starts this season, he will be the first Padres cycle.
Tomorrow: Rubber Game Match!
Great win, boys! Let's take the set tomorrow!

yeah.
He always hit well at every level he played at. To see him struggle like he has thus far sure makes me feel for him. He just cannot hold up on that low pitch.

Yeah, it sucks seeing him go through all this.

This team is so beyond last years. The Savior is not only “more clutch” but he has more scruples as well.

Not a bad choice at all
Do the Padres still use it for their rally music going into the bottom of the 9th?
no
they’ve been using Rammstein.
its really scary
"I suggest more bike" ~KSK
www.throughbucknerslegs.com
I don't even know if they use the rally bell thing anymore
The only game I went to where it would have been appropriate though is the first Headley walf off and it was not used. I think they had the Rammstein thing. I may have even commented on it in the OT.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

I'm pretty sure someone has
I was always a fan of Nevin’s walk-up song, Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth
yeah, thats a classic song.
sometimes I wonder how he got into Cal.
"There are two great tragedies in life: One is not getting what one wants; the other is getting it."
Nevin went to Cal State Fullerton.
Most people associate Cal with Berkeley.

Bolts from the Blue - General Manager: It is what it isn't
Haha, my cousin just asked me yesterday what my walk-up song would be.
I thought about it and had to go with Through These Eyes by Social D. It’s not my favorite song but it seems to fit.

But just about any Turbonegro song would work.
This is a terrible thing for the Padres. - Jerry Coleman
The only song they should play after a Padres victory
is this.
"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers

Are you referring to the Belgian band?
For those interested they started touring again, last summer they played at a festival in my hometown. Also the lead singer of the band is called “Polle Pap” over here.
