Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Padres rally to beat the Rockies in the bottom of the 9th, 3-2

Well that was a good game. Take the lead, fall behind, rally, win. That's how they plot Hollywood movies right there.

Some notes:

  • Chase Headley is more clutch than Kevin Kouzmanoff.
  • From the looks of the postgame interview, Chase is working on his May beard same as us.
  • Kyle Blanks had an opportunity to score on a wild pitch with the pitcher covering home plate. I know that baseball is played nicer and friendlier these days, but it shouldn't have taken much to knock the ball out of the pitcher's hands. One well placed shoulder.
  • Will Venable hit a triple. I will tell you right now, if he gets regular starts this season, he will be the first Padres cycle.

Tomorrow: Rubber Game Match!

Great win, boys! Let's take the set tomorrow!
