So, we all made our predictions, based on what we thought this team could achieve, at the beginning of the season. Most of us thought that the Padres would win between 81-85 games. We're currently on pace to win 97. Though I agree with the idea that the pitching, which has been stellar to this point, can't carry the team forever, I do have renewed hope for what could be. I still think that we win at least 86 games this year, but now I find myself day dreaming about 90 wins. To achieve this we would have to go 60-62 to finish the season. Not an unfathomable feat.
Last night, I heard some jack@ss on the local sports radio station say that the "Padres will start to stink soon". He didn't back up his opinion w/ any facts and I became angered while driving down a curvy, wet mountainous road. Fortunately I am able to drive with my elbows and smoke the peace pipe at the same time, which calmed my nerves (Shout out to herbie420!). We know what Kras thinks, but me thinks I want to hear what you thinks... Are you ready to renege on what you felt the Padres would do before the season began? Or are you standing firm on the slippery slope that is the future?
