Well that 9th inning had all the markings of a comeback rally.  The only problem was the execution.  The Padres are down 5-2, they load the bases with nobody out.  Chris Denorfia hits a line drive to center that drives in one run to make it 5-3 Nationals.  Still nobody out.  Matt Stairs and Will Venable strike out.  David Eckstein grounds to third to end the game.

While the Nationals will file the game under protest we'll file it under "What could have been".
