San Diego Padres Fan Confidence Poll: 5/24/2010

I'm really excited about the upcoming Cardinals series, though interleague play seems to get shorter and shorter every year.

Here is something boilerplate for you to look at

The rules are simple. On a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being no confidence at all, 10 being absolute confidence, How confident are you in the San Diego Padres organization?

"Confidence" is just about anything you want to interpret it as. The front office, the future prospects, the play on the field, the park, etc etc etc.

I'm going to make a chart and I'm going to put it on this post as soon as I make the chart. In the meantime, pour yourself a glass of cool lemonade, kick up your feet and think about how you feel about the Padres.

Poll
On a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being "not confident at all" and 10 being "absolute confidence": How confident are you in the San Diego Padres?

freaky

that is exactly what I am at…7.19.

It would be nice to see some draft picks actually make some MLB impact (either by being a solid-all star MLB player, or allowing us to acquire one)

Also

It wasn’t that long ago that we were begging the farm system to at least produce bonafide major leaguers. I’m thinking Headley and Hundley now qualify. Stauffer too if he can stay healthy. Might as well throw LeBlanc in that mix. And Khalil Greene at least gave us Luke Gregerson.

No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.

how long until we start saying he is a very good number 3 type starter?

I almost went to an 8 because of the Dodger smell and that terrible first game against the Mariners. But then I thought about how awesome Mat Latos has been, as well as Mr. Scrappy, and I voted 9. I’m also not thinking very clearly since I just woke up from a nap. Best nap evar, just sayin.

There are also about a billion active male GLBers.

I like when we win series. If we continue to win series and stay away from getting swept, I think we will be fine. I think this Cardinals series will give us a much better idea of where we stand.

If I remember correctly, we have a mini tough stretch coming up then play a lot of mediocre teams for a good part of June.

All hail the Padres.

We will definitely know where this team stands in the next 30 days

vs STL
@ PHI
vs TOR
@ TB

We also play the Mets twice in those 30 days and get the Rockies at the end of June. So we should have a pretty good idea of just how good this team is come the 4th of July

that’s probably a good metaphor for this situation.
Making the playoffs is all about winning games. And with an unbalanced schedule, you just hope that you are in the NL central… (but not playing STL)

7.51 rounded to an 8

Pad’s lost .49 percent confidence with me with how filthy they have been playing defensively. We only win when we play Defense tight. Plus I still have the disgusting taste in my mouth from all the horrible Dodger W’s on our schedule.

10-----I still have faith in this team

two of those three Dooger games could have gone either way.

the first game in the Ancient Mariner series was a fluke; routine fly-balls being dropped, grounders bouncing off bases, and hitters laying off pitches that they usually swing and miss at.

this team is going to have its off days, like any team.

I feel confident enough to know that.

then on that scale i am at a 12

which means not only will we win the world series, but the NBA championships and the stanley cup as well.

super bowl seems a little lofty though, not quite sure we have an adequate roster size.

i do think we could give march madness a run though.

based on that designation

I would have put 8 or 9 based on your confidence meter….
but I put 6 (consideration beyond how the major league team is doing currently). So… perhaps some additional confidence meters can be added. This would allow us all to say which meter we are using to base our opinion, and then we would have an understanding of each others ratings.
