Padres lose to Mariners like a billion to 3

Wade LeBlanc looked real not good tonight. In general it just was not a good time. On top of that, I was real unimpressed with just about the whole thing. And now we're tied with the Dodgers. By Monday, I dunno what we're gonna do. I'm gonna start writing letters.

Dear Adrian Gonzalez,

It was nice having you on the team.

Your friend,

Dex

total fluke game.

The Mariner offense is the worst in the American league. Total fluke.

fluke

The padres and mariners are not going to keep putting up 23 run games. Hell they usually don’t have 23 run series. (months?)

Too bad Wade and Ramos chose last night to blow up.

Because we actually threw up 8 runs on Cliff Lee.

LeBlanc was due for a game like this.

He had yet to give up a homer, and his sub-2.00 ERA was way too low. Hopefully that was a gut-check for him, and he’ll rebound next week against St. Louis.

Remember last year

when he got sent down right after his poor outing in Seattle. Maybe he was reliving the pain of the long bus rides and the shoddy accommodations endured by the minor leaguer in his mind… Seattle stoked the memory.

could be.

though, I think you’ll agree, it was just one of those games that a young pitcher has from time to time. Not getting the low strike, hitters laying off the close stuff, and a bunch of odd bounces(Bradley’s hit that bounced off the third base bag). I cant help but think the game was a total fluke.

as we are engaging in interleague play

we need talk about the DH and how its horrible and ruins the game.

by kevintheoman on May 22, 2010 2:04 PM PDT up reply actions

I actually like this idea, yes, its been done before, but everyone

has a different way of expressing themselves, which makes the read more interesting.

I like to look at the DH as a crutch for players who would no longer be playing the game if not for its existence. THink of the HOFers that have been enshrined basically due to the invention of the DH. without it, many of the players would have had to retire way earlier.

Attempts at creating good luck are kind of like stolen bases,

they come with both risk and reward. If everyone growing a beard is good luck, then the beardless will create corresponding bad luck. In this case GLB needs 50% beard compliance just to break even. The gods of mojo are fickle and in this displeased.
