Calling All Mid-Atlantic Padres Fans (Others Welcome)
Zen Blade's query as to the location of the GLBers reminded me how many of us are actually on the East Coast. More particularly, how many of us are in what could generously be considered the mid-atlantic region. Made me wonder what everyone's plans were for July 6/7/8 when the Padres will be plating the Nats at Nationals Park (aka Petco East).
It would be a ton of fun to get together, watch some baseball, and pick on some weakling Nationals fans. It would be a Gaslamp Ball meetup, East Coast style. Thoughts?

I am generally in DC
Only in SD for a couple months. So I may be around for that.

"And now for something completely different"

Tempted... but it's the middle of the week
And It’s a drive from Atlanta to DC…
However, I’d be willing to invite folks to come down and meet in Atlanta later in July (also in the middle of the week). :)
It’s amazing how far Atlanta is from any other baseball city. Cinci and Tampa are both about 7 hours away (DC/Baltimore are almost 11 hrs).
If the Cincinnati games were not coming up this weekend, I might think that would be a great place to meet up.
ATL is July 20/21/22
also mid-week. I’m tempted as well. Always wanted to go to Atlanta (for something other than the airport).

We do have a large airport.
Atlanta is a really nice city. Lots of enjoyable (imho) things to do and see.
Just checked ticket prices
$12/ticket on Wednesday to sit in outfield; sort of center-left field (I sat in this area before, and it is nice).
so, if anyone is interested, let me know.
4 hours....
Could be a good time…sucks that its midweek thou
Nationals Park
I have to make a pilgrimage there simply for its GLB significance.

In 2005...
Mighty 1090 had a fairly discounted trip package to play the Nats during their inaugural season. I let it slip away =(

Pads vs Nats
I would love to get together with some east coast Padres fans and see them at Nats park. Would also be willing to get together in Philly.
Whoa how did I not see this topic
I go to school in New York, so I’m there 9 or so months out of the year….might stay near Newark if I go to grad school, who knows.
D.C. is a bit of a drive though, haha.
