Padres beat Snakes on a walkoff homer 6-3
If you (and Gaslamp Ball) are anything like America east of Arizona, then you didn't notice that the Padres actually won the game last night. I mean, it was a done deal that the game was going to end in a loss (and last another 4 hours what with Garland pitching) after giving up three early on, right?
But no, Chase Headley hit a 3 run homer to give the Padres their requisite one win per series. Anticipate the team losing the next two. This is what we call a modus operandi.
I told you I liked our chances yesterday, right? Right?

Cant wait to get my Scraplicious bobblehead tonight
Boogedity, boogedity, boogedity, let’s get 2, boys!
why so pessimistic
Let’s have some optimism here! Let’s get excited. I mean, after all, Headley (your savior and mine) is firing on all cylinders (and he is on my yahoo fantasy baseball team… an absolute steal as a late round pick) and… well, I don’t know what else, but let’s go Padres!
The pitching matchup tonight looks good.
It's not about pessimism, it's about realism and trends
The Padres have completed 3 series so far, and in all three series, they’ve gone 1-2. So, averages dictate, the same will happen.

Seriously
By the fifth inning, I was like, there’s no possible way that we’re going to win this.

It was pathetic
we had somewhere around two hits at that point and Garland wasn’t looking good.

Here is where I admit going to bed after the bottom of the 8th inning. DAMMIT. If I’d been at the game I wouldn’t have left, but I was tired and figured….
We'll be seeing more of that picture
Season tickets next year, banners in the stadium. It’s pretty great.

Awesome shot
I wish I could go to tonight’s game and get the scrappiest bobble head ever made, but I’ll have to settle for beer on the 30th.
I just want to get paid to draw naked girls, is that so much to ask?
