Thank goodness the Padres get to come back home. This team that obviously has no offense and questionable pitching will be able to take advantage of the friendly Petco effect. Remember how people were worried about the offense when it returned to Petco? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I don't get what the Padres are doing. For days and days they were swinging at everything. Today, the bat remains on their shoulders as the ball coasts through the strikezone. That's ummm... That's not gonna work.

I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm volunteering to open tomorrow's thread also. I'm going until they win a game. I will make you suffer with me.

I must admit, things have not looked that good thus far...

However, we are only 2-4… its funny, though, it seems like it doesnt matter what players adorn Padres garb, they just seem to strike out a whole bunch. Yes, there are exceptions, but not very many.

I know its still early, but, MAN OOOOOOOOO MAN!!!

Efren must really change his approach to hitting when he gets in the leadoff slot, because he just looks horrible; just stick to what works, Efren!

Headley is still hitting, I say we put him in the three hole so Adrian can actually get to bat with runners in scoring position.

If we lose Adrian this year… I dont even want to think about that.

The record doesn't bother me

It’s only a few games.
But they have played very poorly in these losses. That’s what bothers me.

we're a timely double away from .500 for the road trip

but those losses have been pretty ugly for sure
for sure have to cut back on the strike outs and at least put that ball in play and leave the strike outs for the batters swinging for the fences

GREAT pitching

Their staff is very solid.
I fear we have actually played against (soon to be) three teams with solid starting rotations.
Their bats are pretty good too. Prado has been on a tear…

Their bullpen is a bet shaky, but we are facing (perhaps) their three best pitchers. There is a reason they could get rid Vazquez this offseason, he wasn’t needed. Let’s just hope the Padres chase away their starters with small ball baseball.
