Logan Forsythe is Officially Shifting Over to Second Base
One of San Diego's top prospects will be shifting over from a position with extreme depth in the minors to a position in dire need of any kind of depth.
Sounds good to me!

Shortly after the announcement
Logan Forsythe hit a home run off of fellow Padre Clayton Richard in a intersquad game today. How about that?
So, what do you guys think of the move? Yea? Nay?
Personally...
I would have liked to see Darnell move to 2B, since he has the greater bat. And Forsythe is better defensively at 3B.
Perhaps it was Forsythe that was moved over to second because he is pegged to reach the majors the quickest this year? With that in mind there really isn’t as much of a roadblock to second base as there is to third once with the Padres.
Or maybe they are waiting to see how Headly adjusts back to his natural position and plan leave Darnell, the more promising prospect, waiting in the wings to see how things pan out?
idk, a lot of possibilities if you ask me. 0_o

I think it was Forsythe glove that moved him to 2B
typically you have a better defender at 2B than 3B.
Zawadski might be a 2nd base candidate too
But I think he has a strong arm so he’ll probably be a better fit at 3rd.

it kind of reminds me of that movie "You've got mail"...I'm Tom Hanks he's Meg Ryan -- Padres prospect Matt Antonelli on sdsuaztec4

Agreed
Zawadski at 2B, Forsythe I’d consider keeping at 3B because he has a better glove. Darnell should be in the field

Makes sense
better to move him now than later. I don’t like our players playing musical chairs with their positions.
