Padres Trim Eight, Name Opening Day Starter
John Garland has been named the Opening Day starter, ahead of presumptive staff ace Chris Young. They also named the starting rotation as Garland, Young and Correia, with the remaining 2 spots not yet announced.
The Padres also made eight cuts today, sending the following players back to Minor League camp:
- Ernesto Frieri
- Mark Worrell
- Greg Burke
- Logan Forsythe
- Matt Antonelli
- Luis Durango
- Aaron Cunningham
- Dusty Ryan
Who else is ridiculously excited for April 5th?
