I was at that game
Was a regular-season game in 2006. Saturday afternoon too if I remember. It most certainly was not a playoff game.
And as I recall, I was impressed with the way the play developed. Giles had a decent lead off first, nothing obscene. Pujols was playing off the bag, well behind Giles. Then all of a sudden Pujols ran quietly up to the bag and Molina fired a strike to him. Giles didn’t have a chance.

I don’t see it. Aside from Webb coming back (from a serious injury), they haven’t done much to improve. LaRoche is an improvement at 1B, but they lost several starting pitchers to FA.

I have a new(ish) laptop with an HDMI connection to my TV. So I can watch anything from my computer in beautiful HD. The only thing is, when Padres games are on I’d want to watch that on the big screen, but still watch other games. I think I need another TV with an HDMI connection.
