San Diego Padres: The Fleeing Padre - 2010 Baseball previews - Deadspin
I won't agree with Will so much in that nobody cares that Adrian Gonzalez is leaving. It's more like preferring to be asleep while the dentist uses the pliers.

And yes I know
He’s not leaving in the strictest sense of the word. I have dinged others for those very words.
I think they're mostly Rompers.

Dumb article
Will Leitch admits that moving Adrian might be smart. He also recognizes that this scenario isn’t uncommon. And yet he’s surprised at the (apparent) lack of indignation among Padres fans… Which also begs the question: What would constitute “caring” exactly? How does one measure the general attitude of a 1/4 million people (more or less)? Is it “bizarre” that we all haven’t quit our jobs to riot in the Gaslamp?

I find it cute that you think we all have jobs.
Thank you for waving at me.

Great analogy.
And if you listen to sports talk radio in San Diego, you’d know that not everyone is just hunky dory with Adrian being traded.
