I won't agree with Will so much in that nobody cares that Adrian Gonzalez is leaving. It's more like preferring to be asleep while the dentist uses the pliers.

Will Leitch admits that moving Adrian might be smart. He also recognizes that this scenario isn’t uncommon. And yet he’s surprised at the (apparent) lack of indignation among Padres fans… Which also begs the question: What would constitute “caring” exactly? How does one measure the general attitude of a 1/4 million people (more or less)? Is it “bizarre” that we all haven’t quit our jobs to riot in the Gaslamp?

And if you listen to sports talk radio in San Diego, you’d know that not everyone is just hunky dory with Adrian being traded.
