Around SBN: Phil Mickelson Outshines Tiger Woods

A paraphrase from Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN2:

The Padres will be integral in deciding the pennant this year... just not the pennant in the league they play in.

I bet Mike and Mike

can’t name five players outside of Adrian and Bell on this team. So how the hell would they know if we’re good or not? I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people this year and sneak up on them. We’re young and we’ve finally built a team around Petco. If the pitching can stay healthy we might be able to win a quite a few games.

On another note, I hope we win just so Heath can start talking trash to ESPN and the east coast bias.

i think they would say...

that because they can’t name anybody apart from Heath and Adrian, we don’t have a good team.

but your point stands….they are idiots.

I doubt they could find San Diego on a map

when asked, they would probably point to Cabo San Lucas.

Nice.

I’m sure Heath “The Cartographer” Bell would be glad to show them!

Sweet.

The feather in his ear is a nice touch.

"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers
