Japan owes us
We sent them Tremell Sledge AND Edgar Gonzalez (maybe Tadahito Iguchi too…), the Gov’t needs to get involved here and force him to sign with SD
and Edgar Gonzalez?

There's no way a minor league contract in the US would pay more than
a major league contract in Japan, right? How does this make sense?

More likely
it’s an opportunity to play with the best in the world and the chance to prove himself.
Otsuka was similar though I think he was more accomplished. Same with Tad Iguchi. Not every import from Japan is as dominating as a Yu Davarish or a Hideki Matsui. Sometimes alot of them just want the chance to go to the majors and compete against hte best in the world
