both Gonzalez and Blanks have all-fields home run power at Petco Park. I'm not sure the Padres have ever had that in tandem since they moved downtown in 2004. Heck, I doubt that more than a handful of clubs have two hitters who have that kind of power.

That's right buddy....
This is gonna be a powerful understimated power duo. I see Blanks having a breakout season if he can stay healthy cause the league really doesn’t know much abnout him and protectin Agon he’s gonna get some pitches to hit. Man I just can’t wait for the season to start….GO PADRES!!!!!
Wait a minute...
What about Ryan Klesko and Phil Nevin??? hahah LMAO

What’s the over/under on Gonzalez/Blanks in 2010?
I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.

Wish there was a "general principle" option for flagging stuff.

i dont know that we break the 59 mark
one main reason: i don’t think that AGone will be here all year to allow it to happen.
if he did i could see it possibly happening, provided Adrian didnt peak and BLanks stays healthy.

Damn...
U put a lot of work into this but was a fun list to look at, Good job!!! I see a lot of Gonzalez up there.. sorry I’m just a huge Adrian Gonzalez fan. I can’t help it I went to High School with the guy.

IF Gonz is here all year and Blanks is healthy
I can easily see them topping 60. Gonz 35 / Blanks 25 is still pretty conservative.
That would be awesome. BTW who are 'they'?
by friarfanatic on Feb 26, 2010 3:25 PM PST up reply actions
i think the "they" he is referring to
are the “they” that predicted Headley would hit 25…
just goin out on a limb

Actually
It’s funnier to think that friarfanatic got really excited at the thought of Blanks and Gonzalez combining for 60 home runs, but has no idea who they are.

I enjoy Blanks and ruth in the same sentence......
How bout this argument over what to call Blanks ends at……………………………………………………….BIG BABY RUTH
Oh internet, what a wicked web you weave.
Well seeing that Blanks is going to 59
this year anyhow…It should be pretty easy.
