  • PADRES NOTES: Garland already in fine form
"When you get a good, young group of guys like this, the sky's the limit," he said. "You can see it's kind of starting to come together. It's kind of how it was in Chicago (in 2005). I think that year we were picked to come in fourth in our division. They weren't giving us a shot and we came together and we quieted them."

  • Padres host live BP " NCTimes.com Blogs
"In 2008, and with the team coming off that horrifying one-game playoff lost at Colorado, Trevor Hoffman purposely buzzed Brian Giles and the two friends mocked each other in a fake shouting match. Hoffman yelled at Giles that he should have made a better throw to the plate to cut down Matt Holliday —- who consequently still hasn’t touched home plate —- and Giles yelled something funny in return."

  • Unfinished Business: Spring Training Countdown: 8 Days!!!! (Plus a Rant!)
"So anyways, then Adrian has to come out with this little whining speech about how we have to win a championship or pay him the money he deserves or else he's outta here. "

  • Padres add versatile veteran Munson | padres.com: News
In a move to add depth to their Triple-A roster, the Padres have signed catcher/infielder Eric Munson to a Minor League contract.
  • Friars on Cardboard: Eddie Williams
"That said, something else all Gaslamp Ballers can appreciate is that his final pro team was Korea's Hyundai Unicorns. "

  • The Friarhood - Friarhood Radio Show 2.25.2010
"This week on Friarhood Radio we were joined by special guest Rick from RJsFro.com. Rick breaks down how he sees the 2010 Padres, we talk Adrian Gonzalez moving on and how Padres fans need to step up and support the team."

  • XX Sports Radio: Darren Balsley (MP3)
The Padres pitching coach talks to coach about how the staff is shaping up in spring training.
  • The Building on K St « RJ's Fro
"The building has been getting restored all these seasons though and is now completed so I asked Garfinkel recently if the building purchase & the recent Padres Hall of Fame comments were related. He stated that as of right now they aren’t sure what they are going to do with that building but they have “lots of ideas” & would like to “activate the Park more”. "

    Those kinds of "pop ups"

are aptly named “Eyeblasters.” That never stops bothering me.

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

    Well

Welcome to Peoria and Portland, Eric. The ST facility and minor league affiliate of your home.

I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.

    Based on Matt Antonelli's blog

It would appear that Brian Giles has revived his classic “dress up like a doctor” prank.

    I echo this remark

He hasn’t sniffed “top prospect” in a while. However, he’s still not old, so if he feels like turning it around he could still have a decent big league career.

I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.

"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers
