Somebody has to do it
You can’t start the game without a guy on the mound.
I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.

Not a great pitcher, but he sure knew how to wear pants.
Mmhmm…

Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers
That comment by Gallagher
made me hit my forehead with my palm so hard that I think I have a concussion.
I had the opposite reaction
If he wants to make a decent career for himself in baseball he needs to make the majors. The difference between becoming a pitcher who never makes it out of AAA and a consistent major leaguer is huge. Any fiancee of his that doesn’t understand that, doesn’t understand him.

Don't get me wrong,
I agree with you, but what I was thinking is he didn’t need to come out and say it to the media. He could have just as easily said “This is my top priority”, but because the way it’s worded, it sounds like he told his fiance that she wasn’t important, and what woman wants to hear that, right? That’s what I was referring to, not the fact that he need to take this seriously. I have no idea if that makes sense at all, haha
Yeah
I’m sure that won’t come back and bite em in the shanks. Girls have a very short memory of insensitive comments and rarely, if ever, bring them up again.
