Around SBN: Jim Irsay: We Can Make It Work With Peyton Manning

Hello Friar faithful

It's official. I'm a proud member of Gaslamp Ball. I'm super stoked to leave some posts. The Padres look exciting this year. All aboard the 8 train. Blanks is the man to watch this year. Our most exciting player has to be Everth Cabrera, who's grand slam was the highlight of last season. His arm cannon guns down runners at first and he can run the bases with speeds equalling the mako sharks that zip outside Mission Beach. Garland was a nice pickup along with Torrealba and Gonzo will prove to be our staple player once again. San Diego is ready for a Series and this team could provide that. Keep the faith Friar Fans... There will be  a day when San Diego wins a pro sports championship. Good vibes to all my fellow Padre fans and expect to be hearing more news coming out of The Shire. Until next time... Go Pads.

Welcome!

"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers
