We asked for Spring Training tips via Twitter this morning. Some of them are better than others, but all of them are weirdly helpful.
- Don't speed. Arizona has a law where it's illegal to exceed the maximum speed limit. That place is crazy.
- Wear sunscreen and a hat. Arizona is closer to the sun than San Diego, dress accordingly.
- Check the weather before you go Phoenix is not always hot. But seriously it's always hot and when it's not hot, it's a relief.
- Ride Corey Brock's coattails...he will lead you to where you wanna be. That's been our plan all along.
- Mentally prepare yourself for the possibility that every chain restaurant ever is within a 5 mile radius. What about Arby's? I hope there's Arby's.
- Beware of scorpions in your bed sheets. Scorpions totally like to spoon.

Making the trip
I’m by far the biggest Padre fan that Iknow that has not been to Spring Training nor Arizona besides the airport. I plan to make the trip with my girl on the weeekend of March12- March 15. Any suggestions?? Not weather or all this other stuff they suggested here.. I wanna know stuff like “get there X amount of time before the game to get an autograph” or " Go to this bar and all the players hang out there" Thanks for your help in advance.

Yeah I know what you mean bro but I’ve been dating her for a little over a year and have been trying to get her into the Pads at least 25% of what I’m into them. So I figured Spring Training and just the whole road trip thing and her seeing the players up close should help me in doing so. I’ll check it out this way for now and if I see what I like, I’ll plan an all guys trip next year, besides I play in a band so I live at the beach and show up with absolutely no sand 3-4 times a week!!!

Incredibly early, but so far I am really digging the Hoyer era. Seems like a creative decision maker – Got quality in here for at great prices – the late, rather surprising signings of Garland and Torrealba significantly enhance the possibility for a winning season in 2010.

Not to mention he’s in pursuit of Felipe Lopez right now… with Cabrera still being young and Eckstein not getting any younger this will be icing on the cake. If they sign him i will give Hoyer and co. an A+.
