If the Padres can't afford to hold on to the one really dependable piece of their- pardon the expression- "offense," they should use what remains of their revenue-sharing money to close up shop. Yankee fans and Mets fans- among others- are subsidizing little league teams in San Diego, Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
