  • The Best and Worst Uniforms of All Time: The San Diego Padres | HardballTalk
When I saw this link I groaned.  Another hack disrespecting the old Padres uniforms.  But wait!  This time it's different.  The throwbacks are listed as the BEST uniforms.

"But guess what? I liked the brown and yellow. And not just in an ironic so-bad-it’s-good way. They missed with it more often than they hit with it, and maybe it’s too dated a color combination to use now, but there was a sweet spot — I’d say 1976-77 — when it looked pretty good. Change it from a pullover to a button-up number and I’d put the Padres in them right now if I owned the team."
  • The Fro Brings You: Where Are They Now? The Joey Hamilton Edition

RJ's Fro: What have you been up to since the end of your Major League playing career?

    Joey Hamilton: Not a lot
I would have cracked up if that was the end of the interview.
  • The Official Blog of Matt Antonelli: MAIL BAG
"I look up to a lot of baseball players currently playing in the Major Leagues. I can't really name them all, but one guy I really like to watch how he does things is David Eckstein. "

"They're always looking for pitchers. Others clubs say the Padres want a center fielder who can fill the leadoff spot."

  • A San Diego Padres Blog: The Sacrifice Bunt » Blog Archive » Nick Hundley is not your enemy
This’ll be Hundley’s first year in the starring role and the tone around Padresland could best be described as nonplussed but worry not, Hundley’s good. Well, he’s not bad.

  • Perpetual Padres Saga: Getting back on track
I like to call this, "Reflecting the 2010 Padres season in 37 ways".

  • Unfinished Business: Winning the World Series: Unfinished Business
"Well, the Adrian drama goes on. He had shoulder surgery not to long ago, and now it looks like he's not going to be ready in time for the start of Spring Training. Smooth, Adrian. Real smooth. "

Reminds me of the Bip Roberts and Barry Bonds banter

I’ll paraphrase because I don’t remember the exact words and I don’t feel like beginning a massive Internet investigation for a transcript:

Bip: I’ve always looked up to you.

Barry: That’s because you’re shorter than me.

    BA-DUM-DUM-CHING!

    Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...

I like that he mentioned how crappy the 90s jerseys were

It’s always been my least favorite period (not even fond memories of 98 can help it). Even the uglier versions of the brown and mustard are weird and goofy. The pinstripes were just boring.

I frankly think their current spread is the best in the team's history

Just above the old brown and yellow. The blue and sand are very unique and very San Diego. And the military Sunday uniforms are just a classy tribute to those that serve.
