Gonzalez's agent: shoulder surgery went "very well" - SignOnSanDiego.com
"But the reports were that it went very well, as well as expected. The main thing I was looking for was his recovery. And his recovery’s supposed to be on par to (Gonzalez) playing at the beginning the season. There shouldn’t be any delays." -

Is there any way to just wreck the one about destiny?
And leave it in a ditch somewhere…
A lie is just a great story that someone ruined with the truth.
I enjoy righteous anger
so I watched that Brian Wilson/ Jim Rome interview and got pisssssssed.

I'm pretty sure Rome would blow Brian Wilson
If the SF Giants closer one asked him to.
No, I don't think you're an idiot. Please don't go trying to prove me wrong about that.
Bolts from the Blue - General Manager: It is what it isn't
Also
It’d be the first time the SF Giants ever won a World Series. Just another team to add to the list of teams that have done something the Padres haven’t (the Rangers would also be one of those).

True
But the Rangers fans aren’t dicks like Giants fans tend to be. They’d actually deserve a win in Texas, San Francisco already acts like they’ve won it all and has for years, they don’t need the added boost to their already overinflated egos.
Growing up an A's fan I had years of experience
Hate of the Orange and Black comes easy to me. I feel bad, I hate those colors so much that I actually have a hard time enjoying Halloween.

Much obliged
Padres fans are exactly like Giants fans… and by exactly like I mean completely opposite. It’s been one of the best things about the last two years since I moved down here. Great fans, great park (with great food and staff, I’m still loving the fish tacos), great team (10 game losing streak aside). And it’s all really close to me and mine. It’s all part of why I tell people the Pads are my NL team now. Sure I’d have to think really hard about who I want to win on the VERY rare occasions the Pads and A’s ever meet up, but otherwise I’ve become all Pads, all the time. You folks have made it so damn easy for a guy far from home to like you.
im rooting for the Phils
Not because I like them as a team…but because I still have a man crush on jimmy rollins for saying “stay classy san diego” when he hit a home run in the last few games of the season…..helping us stay in the race. It made me an automatic fan.

Yes. This.
They rooted for us to beat the Giants. And even if it was for their own selfish reasons, I still appreciate it and return the favor.
I need new pants.
I'm kinda torn between the Rangers and Phillies.
Obviously, if the Giants get to the WS I’ll jump on the Rangers’ bandwagon. If it’s PHI/TEX, do I want to see another team knocked off the list of first time WS champs or hear about PHI becoming a dynasty?
These are the questions that would keep me up at night if I bothered to watch at this point. When do pitchers and catchers report? That’s what I really care about.

Stupid rangers in their stupid first world series

I'm rooting for Texas because they're much like us
No-name, highly effective pitchers and one big-name star in Hamilton; quietly played great ball all season; dismissed by major media (until they ripped the Yankees a new one).
Also, Charlie Manuel snubbed Latos in the ASG and played to lose the last game of the season so he could give his top two pitchers a few “warm-up” innings for the playoffs. Even if the Padres had topped the Giants, we would’ve had to deal with a whole bunch of other crap thanks to them. AND Cole Hamels went to my school’s crosstown rival.
The Padres are good, but make no mistake: we've gotta beef up the linwup.
If I had a nickel from every SBN blog that has banned me, Arrowhead Pride would owe me 5¢.

I know.
Starting tonight I may have to cut off all contact with my friends back in the Bay Area. They’ve been insufferable since September started. And it’s just been getting worse and worse as the season and post-season have gone on.
I wasn't rooting for giants (cept timmeh)
but commentators were being such blatant homers in that last phils game, I’m surprised they noticed anyone other than oswalt on the field, let alone a whole nother entire team!
C’mon now, regular season is one thing but post season – you gotta believe after hundreds of games whoever is there deserves it on some level…
Texas it is.
First game of the World Series

So anyone watching the AZL?
Saguaros are teh sux. I was kind of sort of pulling for them to go for an 0-fer after the horrible start, but, wow… Not fun. I was hoping they would play Cole Figueroa more, but Simmons thinks that’s a bad idea. :-(
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
