the #Padres chances of signing Khalil Greene to be a backup SS are very, very, very slim.

This talk seems to stem from that Kentera inteview
Where I basically interpreted it to mean that they need a backup SSs and if you were to make a list of players who could be acquired that also play SS, Khalil would be on that list. But, since people like Khalil they want to believe that Hoyer is looking at bringing him back. Nevermind that on the list of guys who would capably fill the role of backup SS, Khalil could be last or near the bottom of that list.
I'm the first person to admit that I'm wrong about a lot of things, but I'm going to be the last person to admit I'm wrong about what we're currently talking about.
How do you define capably?
He is still capable of strong d and can occasionally run into one. Nobody thinks he’s gonna be a starter. And after the year he had, its not like he would be expensive

I hope I never have to see him in a Padres uniform again
This is a terrible thing for the Padres. - Jerry Coleman
