State of the Padres Payroll Version 2.0 (New but not Improved)

With the bevy of moves Hoyer & Co made this past weekend the Padres 2010 roster is really starting to come into focus.  Here is the current State of the Padres 25 man roster and payroll.

I think the 4th and 5th spots in the rotation are pretty much up for grabs from the plethora of young arms the Padres will have in ST, as are all of the spots in the BP (unless your name is Adams or Bell).  Also I would guess would be that Huffman and Cunningham will battle it out for the 5th OF spot in ST. 

At this point the Padres really don't have any holes in their 25 man roster, they could put this team out on the field and it wouldn't be a complete disaster.  However, they could use an upgrade at backup catcher and add another veteran starter at this point.  With a little over $6 mil to spend I think they have more than enough in the budget to do both.
