The final road game of the 2009 season. Soon we will be preparing retrospectives of the season and recharging for next season. Until then, we will watch the tame finish out their lame duck tour of other major league ballparks.

Buddy has this nasty habit of falling in love with only half his bullpen (Gregerson, Thatcher, Burke, etc.) and not realizing that we’ve expanded the roster to include guys who would actually like to pitch a few innings at the big league level (Frieri, Ramos, Peroda). For a former pitching coach some times I questions his management of the pitching staff.

No silly use of Mike Adams who has not pitched since the 23rd and has a .59 road era for example. I am sorry. In the second game against the Diamondbacks we had a 4 run lead and got blown out. In the third game just a 1 run lead and he brought in a bunch of tired pitchers who frequently had bad road era’s. This does not seem like a mistake as much as a deliberate decision to lose those games.
