Walk Toward The Light: Your 2009 San Diego Padres
Misinformed yahoo blogger relies on mainstream media's trivial tidbits to formulate an opinion on the 2009 Padres. No effort was put into research here and it shows.
On a positive note, Sandy's kids are starting to play good baseball and team mom, Nan Black sucessfully manages the team behind the scenes.

I didn't think trading Gonzalez was even an option anymore.

you wouldn' t think so
Will Gonzlez be the highest paid player next year? maybe CY? Either way, neither will break the bank and both will put people in the seats.
What would the Padres payroll be next year with the current roster?
"Get on board early," Black said, alluding to, what he feels, is a crop of up-and-coming players.
"I would tell those fans that we're going to play good baseball. We're going to play hard. We're going to have exciting young players..." -Bud Black

Stuff like this doesn't bother me anymore.
People like that will just be in for a surprise next season if/when we bring this season-end momentum into 2010.
