I'm not too surprised that neither Dex or Mr. box (or, for that matter, Kev) put up a game thread. I figured that at least 'tec would have put up one of his "blah blah blah" pieces or perhaps jodes would have created a coherent one. Oh, well, I guess ol' TTG has to do everything for you people...

It's the top of the second; Adrian hit a two run blast and Garrett Jones responded in the bottom of the first with a solo shot, his twentieth of the year.

There is something about playing in Pittsburgh that makes everyone forget that you exist. It’s a wonder the Pirates have even been able to tally 17 consecutive losing seasons. Who is still bothering to show up to scratch the tally? Come, mister tally man, you probably went bananas.
Well, neither team is waiting on us, scoring is already under way. I don’t know what happened so far, but I bet nobody noticed anyway.

Sweet, this is what my OT was gonna say:

Hmm, no game thread for today’s game is up yet. WEIRD.

Pads go for the series win against the Pirates. Thankfully there is no Drew Macias in the lineup, but I still wish we could see some more of Luis Durango.

LeBlanc is on the mound for our Friars. I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I think of Wade LeBlanc, I still always picture that game towards the end of last season when he thought he fouled off a ball, but it was really in play. He looked pretty silly. Anyway, he’s been pitching not-so-badly as of late and I hope tonight will help shake that embarrassing image of his major league beginnings from my mind.

Thatcher been one of the many 2nd half bright spots

How is that Linebrink trade looking 2+ years later ?

Linebrink has been nothing special…in 2009, in about the same amount of innings pitched, Thatcher has been much better.

Inman still fairly young but has obviously taken a step back.

Garrison has been hurt but also still young.
