Series tied (1-1) Best of 3

Fort Wayne Highlight:

This was an all around pretty well played game by the Tin Caps. The pitching was decent and the the offense provided plenty of thump. The starter Stiven Osuna only allowed 1 run through 4 innings. There were six doubles in the game provided by 5 players (Cole Figueroa, Justin Baum, Vince Belnome, Allen Dykstra 2 and Kevin Hansen) and there was a HR by Justin Baum. The same 5 players also accounted for every run scored by Fort Wayne with 4 of them (Figueroa, Baum, Belnome and Dykstra) all scoring twice a piece.

Game decided by:

In the bottom of the 5th, with 2 runners on, Allen Dysktra hit a double to left field that drove in both baserunners and made it a 6-1. The Tin Caps would tack on 3 more later in the game, but the double gave them the edge they needed to win the game.

The deciding game of series will be played Monday September 14 at 7:05 Eastern. The winner will advance to the Midwest League Championship and play either the Cedar Rapids Kernals (Angels affiliate) or the Burlington Bees (Royals affiliate). Their deciding game will be played at 7:35 Eastern.
