Sources: Mariners nixed three-way Felix Hernandez trade sending Padres slugger Adrian Gonzalez to Seattle
So, the three teams start discussing a possible three-way deal with Seattle that would send Gonzalez to the Mariners, along with Buchholz and a couple of other Red Sox prospects.
The Red Sox would get Hernandez.
And the Padres would get Brandon Morrow, Phillippe Aumont and Carlos Triunfel from Seattle, along with a couple of other top Boston prospects.

To me this is a terrible deal.
Seattle gets all Boston’s best young players, and we get the leftovers.
I’m glad this didn’t happen. I’d rather deal with Boston one-on-one in the off-season.
Greg Maddux for manager.

Yeah, this strikes me as way worse than the LA deal

I get the feeling
that Towers was fielding any and all calls for anyone. I’m surprised he didn’t trade offer up the entire roster for the entire roster of the Trenton Thunder.

Thats what I thought
If you’re trading AGon then do it with Boston straight up… why involve Seattle to get worse prospects?
Offseason AGon & Bell to Boston for Bucholz, Bowden, Bard & Andersen.
