The real news is

it took us 3 months to get back home.

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

now that we are in the basement we need to get that nasty d-back scent out of the carpet.

We have a ton of work to do.

The basement doesn’t look anything like it did when we subletted it to the D-Backs a few months back.

Very nice use of the exclamation point, jbox

For a second, I actually got excited by the news.

Yeah but......

We are a much better last place team now than we were last year, or even 3 months ago.

I'm not sure about being better than 3 months ago

Also, back then we had 10 wins in a row. Now it feels like we won’t see 10 wins for the rest of the year

I was only joking

It just seems like I have read a lot of comments by readers (and by KT) about how last years team just mailed it in, but the team now has a lot of spunk and fight in them.

Minor league radio is free over the internet

The best way to get to it is through minorleaguebaseball.com and go find your favorite team on the scoreboard and click the little speaker icon. Sometimes it will take you to a radio stations web site where you click “listen live” or something like that. Sometimes you can only get the opponents’ radio broadcast. Sometimes the link does go anywhere (Portland’s takes you to their home page, which as afar as I can tell broadcasts nothing).

The same website for the radio will also let you see box scores and for AA and AAA will let you launch the Gameday web app and follow pitch-by-pitch.

Padres haven't won since they traded Hairston...COINCIDENCE?!

Yes. Just a coincidence.

But it still pisses me off. I liked that guy.

Think about it: Virtually nothing good has happened to this franchise since Hairston’s go ahead homerun in the 13th inning of Game 163 two years ago.
