That's Kouz.
Hitting home runs in meaningless situations.

I guess everyone saw
the Padres have two All-Stars.
No Manny?
Manny, really? What’d you tire yourself out playing rehab games in the minors during your suspension? BOOOO-F’ing-HOOO.
I’m originally from Boston, so maybe I’m just double-biased here, but, c’mon, isn’t it a little early for him to be taking games off? I was about to try to go to the game today, but my hangover from America’s birthday told me “Not so fast,” & now I’m actually glad. Sweating out a keg of Coors through my sunburned skin, AND not being able to yell at Mann-breasts the entire time? No, thank you – I’ll just turn on the television, and hit the mute button.
Manny, earn those giant paychecks you never cash. Now that you’re allowed back in the Big’s, how about playing some ballgames? Or are you too wistful over your past days with Inland Empire?

It's not really his choice
Torre has declared that Manny is not ready to go full games yet and will also given him a day off at least once a week. I don’t think this is Manny’s choice.

Back to Back HRs could tie this game
What are the chances of Adrian and Kouz doing that?
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Kouz already hit his HR for the month.
Would be nice though.

Oh and Kouz is out of the game apparently.
Shows how much I’m paying attention.

It'll have to be Venable and the other Gonzalez

Okay scratch that
We just need an EGon dinger.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Venable keeps it alive!
Edgar, or do we pinch hit?

All we got is Blanks
and he’s been dumbfounded by power righties so far.
Well, and Lobotan but that’s not going to happen.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Well, jeez
A HR would win it.
Grand slam, Mr. Alfonzo, please.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Course, when he faced Broxton on Friday
he was completely overmatched.

Fine
just walk and ECab can hit a double to win it.

Eh, according to the tracker
it was on the border. But, the umpire’s strike zone seems to have been real small.

Sometimes when you leave the game early
you miss all the fun.
Thought that I was gonna spare myself sitting in the sun witnessing the end of a blowout.
Learned this last year at a Sept game against the Giants
NEVER leave the game early…the cardiac kids CAN do it!!! :)
This is the second time in 3 years
that we’ve scored 5 in the 9th against Broxton.

We also did something similar
Against the Dodgers with Danys Baez as their closer. But, that was longer ago.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

With no outs, yes. With two outs, I'd say no. I'd rather have two shots for a base hit.

you think Savior could score from first on a single
I’m gonig to assume that with Scotty or AGon hitting it that it’s a hard hit single.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
I'm also taking into account
That you remove the DP from the equation with the bunt.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.

Here’s my new plan. Mota throws a wild pitch early in the count. Hairston sac fly or deep fly ball single ftw.

I thought Hairston was always good for a fly ball.

Probably not, you got to save him to hit for the pitcher in case this goes longer.

Why pull Bell? Can't he go more than an inning?
Like I said…Yahoo isn’t updating quick enough…I didn’t even see Adams come in much less the inning end…Go Pads!!!
I think it's because of his long outing yesterday
I wanted him to go two as well, but I’ll give Buddy a pass since he worked so hard to close out the last game.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Why use Yahoo
when you can go to mlb.com and get it from the horse’s mouth. Still slower than real life, but I’ve found them to be the fastest.

Leblanc is annoying
He can’t pitch worth a lick for the Padres, but then he goes down and dominates the top team in Portland’s division (and second winningest team in the PCL). I guess if I’m being an optimist I can claim that he learned something?
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
Much like Joe Thatcher.
Though Thatch has improved since 2008, he’s still not like he was in 2007. Which could be attributed to sample size.

Did Black double switch a lot?
If he did, he is just Bochy II.
I was there
Amazing comeback in the 9th inning, we made broxton look loke a joke (well, i guess it was mostly him walking the yard).
We really blew it in the bottom of th 9th and in the bottom of the 10th by not just putting it away.
Scott hairston popping up was probably the most deflating, aall the energy just left at that point. Of course he was traded after the game.
It was a great game though, as far as I’m concerned the dodgers suck if it takes them 13 inning to beat our patch-worked team.
Scotty knew it too
There was a shot of him practically in tears and his head in his hands after that missed opportunity.
