Apparently there is going to be some sort of ceremony for Trevor Hoffman 10 minutes before game time. Maybe it's the Padres attempt to smooth things over between the team and its greatest closer.
Padres need to win this game to keep this from being the worst July in team history.

I'm willing to bet that, if he's still on the team, CY will be the opening day starter.
Veteran experience, and all. Plus I still think that we trade Adrian to the Red Sox in the offseason, so I’d throw Buchholz in there too. That is one really young rotation.
