Have you ever been to an SDSU basketball game? Fans stand and clap in unison until the Aztecs score their first basket.
Here's my idea: In the comment threads we can only comment in Haiku form until the Padres get their first hit.
A Haiku written in English is three lines. The first line is 5 syllables, the second line is 7 syllables and the last line is 5 syllables.

or start any sort of p-ing contest. I just made a common sense comment about a guy with an on-base .297 batting third. He is the second worst candidate to hit in the top four, right behind Josh Wilson.

We can agree that there are only two hitters in the lineup — Gwynn and Adrian. Maybe Gwynn can keep up is hitting even after Hairston comes back. Then we can have three.

Gwynn and Eck can’t be the third hitter, neither can Headley or Hundley, or the pitcher, so that’s five off the list. Adrian is cleanup, and Kouz gets on base less than Giles. Who’d I forget? Oh, Josh Wilson can’t bat third either.
