Khalil Greene thanks Cardinals for their support - STLtoday.com
"Given my experience in San Diego wasn't a great one, that left a bitter taste in my mouth," Greene said. "It felt like the trust factor had been shattered. On the micro-level aspect of it, that didn't involve the clubhouse, but I really felt soured by that. Here, obviously, they want me to contribute, but at the same time I felt a genuine sympathy for my well being. ... I wanted to respond to that." -

Marty's Blog: Padres Say No to David Justice
"Given the struggles of this team, I’m surprised that the Padres wouldn’t jump at this chance. If they were a winning organization, I’d be surprised that they would turn him down because the lessons you can learn from former major league players of Justice’s caliber are priceless. Oh and in case Justice didn’t emphasize it enough, it’s FOR FREE!" -

I read it 10 times and still don’t get it…I guess he felt abandon by the Padres Organization. But honestly, having the team determine if you are “disinterested and aloof” versus having medical behavior issues is asking a lot.

meh it was ok
kind of felt like a made for TV movie, would be good on ESPN or HBO but I dont see it doing well on the big screen. Although with Brad Pitt staring in it I could see it doing well.

Solid script, IMO, but I think I know what you mean
It needs to tell a bigger story — one that people can get into and actually care about. Creative editing can take care of that though…
Also, most movies that do well on the big screen are f_____g b______t.
