If you aren’t ready to go, whether it’s the flu or your ankle, or a combination of the two, you gotta speak up. Don’t try to “nut up” and go out there when you’re not 100%!! You’ve done it before and hurt the team (playoffs vs STL), and you’ve done it again tonight.
If Jake would’ve spoken up, at least Geer would’ve been a little bit more prepared (both physically and mentally) to pitch tonight. We all saw what happened the last time he came in to spell a starter.
Now that Geer is getting yanked for Perdomo, we just gotta accept the fact that this is a bullpen night. If Buddy woulda know in advance, he coulda lined it up a lil better. Thanks Jake!!
