Paul D.

I think we should be glad he is on the staff helping KT out with stocking the Farm. We need to stop thinking about him as the portrayed computer nerd in Moneyball and more as the GM that stocked the Dodgers System with all the talent we see now.

So far I like DePodesta.

I like him even more since Moorad sorted out the organizational mess and made it clear who reported to whom.

They cleared it up?

I’m pretty sure DePo still reports to the CEO just like he did under Alderson. Anyone else who can confirm this?

AFAIK

It still works the same. It’s unconventional, but I wouldn’t call it a mess. Seems like the only change they made was attitude.

I thought they said

that before DePodesta and Towers were both reporting to the CEO and it created a bunch of problems, and now they have it so DePodesta reports to Towers, so it’s not like we have two GMs.

I have yet to hear that

Plus, it doesn’t even make that much sense. DePo spends most of his time on the draft and KT doesn’t even call the shots there. Gayton and Fuson have final say on who gets drafted.

Anyone care to speculate on how the OF will work?

With 3 lefties pitching against this weekend I would expect to see a lot of Blanks in LF. Chase will probably sit against them. But, that doesn’t solve RF. Will they have the sack to put Headley or Blanks in RF to get Giles out of there? Once Harrison is back they can put Gwynn in RF with Shrek in CF and platoon Savior and Super-Savior. Or, they could platoon Savior and Kouz and let Blanks play everyday in LF.

Who do we like better in CF?

Gwynn or Harrison? And then, has it become that time for Giles?

Gwynn.

I love Hairy….but is he really a CF?

by Drama on Jun 19, 2009 2:33 PM PDT up reply actions

Harrison

Is more of a CF than RF I think. They should just move him back to 2B and live with the bad D. They are doing it with Eckstein right now for far less offense.
