Padres RHP Chris Young, he's going to miss his next start and is essentially certain to go on the DL with an inflamed shoulder.

Sweet Jeebus!
We are soon going to have a rotation consisting of the likes of Walter Silva, Kevin Correia, Chad Gaudin, Josh Geer, that one guy on the corner who used to buy me beer in high school, Pat Sajak, Brian Lawrence and maybe even the guy who played Grady on “Sanford and Son” but he might be a little out of our price range.
Are we considered buyers or sellers at this point in time?

BRIAN LAWRENCE?!?
oh dear god no. I can’t take another week of hearing about his great potential and what a good guy he is.

Wow
Just saw the news that this wasn’t a joke, but Lawrence was actually signed. He’ll probably be brought up now. Is the goal to get a 1-5 of guys that “are supposed to be good” and “have a really great outing once every few months”?

Bring up Latos, I don’t even care how “inexperienced” he is.

It isn't a matter of inexperience
It’s a matter of why waste his time with Padres on a crappy team when you might be able to have him on a good team. Let me put it this way, if he’s going to on the team for 6 years (so either 2009-2014 or 2010-2015 depending on when he gets called up), which year would you bet on for the Padres to have the better team 2009 or 2015?

It is kinda like KT pooped in the fridge and ate the whole wheel of cheese.
It’s almost exactly like that.

I see this as (somewhat) positive news
At least they have something they can do to try to fix CY. Because I was beginning to think that the guy had just lost it. I’d much rather think that he’s injured than the league had caught up with him.
