It's awfully true.
Which is why I’m glad we’re drafting guys like Tate.

What's boring about a streaky team?

I can't say I agree
I’ve watched a lot of Padres games this season so far and I can not say that those were consistently boring. The Padres have played some great games so far this season. Obviously they also had crappy games that were boring to watch, but I guess that’s what happens if you play 162 games in one season.

Come on, now!
We’ve got the league-leading homerun hitter who would have to introduce himself to 50% of Harold’s co-workers, Eckstein providing all of the spark and pep that can be contained in one person, The Cartographer closing games in an effective and not quiet fashion, Jake Peavy trade rumors to fill any slow news days, and a right fielder embroiled in a spousal-abuse battle. Maybe if Jenny Cavnar lets Reynolds “hug” her, he’ll get excited about the Padres.

I think Reynolds is a year too late here
Last year’s team was boring. This year’s team ain’t the most exciting ever, but it’s light years beyond last year’s club.
Memo to baseball managers: You manufacture runs by NOT making outs, not by making them on purpose.
